Hey its Foxxie again, and today, I am watching the weirdest cocktail of anime. I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures.
Section 1: Episodes watched today
- Papa no Iukoto o Kikinasai 11
- Highschool DxD OVA 1
- Kimi no Iru Machi 1
Starting off with the full episode anime.
This episode, we see the effects of a sudden change in lifestyle, no matter how close you are to the person changing it. Struggling with homework, club activities, housework, part time jobs, college education. Who can juggle all that while surviving only on the income from the part time job, especially not when you have 3 girls to feed?
I don’t hate this anime, but on the other hand I don’t like it much either, its a neutral for me. If it wants to be in the drama category, then there’s not enough drama. If it wants to be in the slice of life category, then yes, its very very slice of life, but slice of lifes are usually companied by epic comedy or at least a hint of it, but this one is slice of life riddled with hints of drama, and that doesn’t appeal to me very much.
Next: Its the extra of Highschool DxD!
Normally extras aren’t supposed to have plot, or maybe is about one of those small side stories that happened, usually short about 5 minutes. This anime is epic fanservice, so what should we expect from the OVA? OF COURSE MOAR FANSERVICE!
Its pretty ridiculous how does one even get into that kind of situation, but okay, whatever you want to animate.
Next up: OVA series adapted from a manga, Kimi no Iru Machi.
The way this anime is carried through can be pretty confusing, but its content is pretty solid. Its a romance drama, and revolves around a guy, Haruto, who in the countryside who got his house crashed upon by this girl, Eba, from the cities who wants to study in the countryside school. The girl stays in his house while the guy is in love with his childhood friend, Kanzaki. So he keeps trying to tell his feelings to Kanzaki, but Kanzaki rejects him because Eba is staying with him. Just when she’s about to accept his feelings, Haruto says its okay that he got rejected, then he can fully give up on her now. That should be enough for the background.
This anime is carried out strangely because it keeps going back and forth like into the past, then to current times. Didn’t read the manga, seems interesting for me enough to read it, but sadly I don’t have the time. The anime isn’t gonna progress any faster of course, because its an OVA release like Koe de Oshigoto, which means only 1 episode every season. I wonder how long it’ll take if it wants to fully adapt the manga.
Section 2: Daily log of intern student (Day 18)
Today was pretty lax, started with the cleaning of the chicken cages, then feed them and the guinea pigs. After that proceed to gather the information so I can relay it to my supervisor so she can update the documents. After lunch we moved a pig that we forgot yesterday and I did a bit of cleaning here and there, and typed up a document for the controlled drug usage as well as animal usage.おつかれ〜
