Anime, daily life and randomness

Madness? THIS. IS. Mr. Foxxie, hai thar!

I will be catching up on some of the anime I’ve delayed due to the weekend camp.

Section 1: Episodes watched today

  • Accel World 6
  • Hyouka 4
  • Acchi Kocchi 5
  • Medaka Box 6

Starting off with Accel World and THE HOPE OF FINDING OUT KUROYUKIHIME’S REAL NAME!
Nothing has been said regarding her name, Haruyuki continues to call her Senpai and so far no one else has called her by other names either. O well.
As for Taku and Haruyuki, both of them have met and apologized together to Chiyu, who only wanted them to stay together in the first place and thus forgave both of them. Haruyuki has earned enough points to level up to level 2, however it costs 300 points to level and he’s now dangerously low on burst points. His next loss means the uninstallation of Brain Burst. Taku helps him to find help from a person called Aqua Current, who helps people to get points back in case they leveled too early and get a points problem like Haru. While Haru approaches the help with no way of making sure he’s safe, Taku visits Kuroyukihime, who immediately goes into Burst Link. What’s happening?!

Next: Hyouka!
In this episode, we have the Sekitani Jun incident explained. When? Where? Why? How? What? Everything was explained by our supercomputer-protangonist Houtarou. Turns out Chitanda’s uncle was expelled from school because he led a protest that included the entire student body because the school wanted to shorten the Cultural Festival. Due to Sekitani Jun’s actions, the Cultural Festival was saved, but he was kicked out of school.
Chitanda looks so awesome in a ponytail!

Next: Acchi Kocchi! (There were delays in the release of the subs I want due to the group being busy)
Just another dose of mega-moe. Part A involves a volleyball match with the losers buying the school cafeteria’s mot sought-after food. Katsu-sando and Yakisoba-pan (Pork cutlet sandwich & Fried noodles bun). Judging by the name alone, I could understand why they’re the most sought-after, you don’t find pork cutlets in your sandwiches everyday y’know.
Tsumiki is the cutest tsundere ever, I swear. If I ever meet a girl like that I’d totally marry her.

Next: Medaka Box
This sentence pretty much wraps up the entire Medaka Box series. The situations and everything are all ridiculously exaggerated, and yet somehow its all pretty entertaining. This week we see the result of the aquatic-sports meet! Medaka has somehow managed to preach through the money-minded skulls of the school swim team.
With a dashing lunge and push, she steals her first kiss (probably) and wins the duel between the swim team and the student council. Meanwhile, the Judo team’s ex-captain has been stealthily ninja-ing all the other team’s headbands and got 303 points, giving them a landslide victory over all the other teams. You know what they say about adventure games, when you defeat someone, they join your team. The swim team’s captain is now hired by the student council to be their treasurer.

Section 2: Daily log of intern student (Day 56)

Started the day cleaning the guinea pigs and chickens, then went down to draw the guinea pig’s blood. After that we got instructions to weigh some pigs and we weighed them all the way till lunch. After lunch, we were given yet more pigs to weigh and continued to weight them. When we were finally finished it was already 3pm and we went to draw the chicken’s blood and proceeded to do some final cleaning before tomorrow’s surgery.

Section 3: Manga read today

  • Hayate no Gotoku 363

This time we have a story arc focused on Suirenji Ruka as well as the background on how she came to receive a 150 million yen debt on her shoulders. Unlike Hayate, her parents actually cared a lot for her, but sadly, their care was shallow and selfish. They only cared for her to fulfill their unrealised dream of hitting it big time in the fierce Japanese idol industry, because they were so concentrated on this, they accumulated a debt of 150 million yen, all used to give Ruka expensive dance lessons, singing lessons and grooming lessons. When they couldn’t take it anymore, they abandoned Ruka and placed the debt on her. Luckily for Ruka, her newly signed company offered to pay the 150 million debt for her, but as a result, her salary would be used to repay the company who paid the debt for her.

  1. Accel Run just got a little more interesting. I’m wondering what the big deal is regarding her name. I hope this wasn’t just a set up and then there is nothing special about her name.

    • I don’t think it’ll affect the anime very much, but I do want to know her real name though. AREN’T YOU CURIOUS ABOUT IT!?

      • I am curious only because they let the episode end with us hanging like that. Haha.

      • PRECISELY! Stupid cliffhangers, they should totally tell is to us, even though its not really relevant to the story.
