Anime, daily life and randomness

Section 1: Episodes watched today

  • Hyouka 11
  • Saki Achiga-hen 12 (End)
  • Tari Tari 1
  • Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita 1
  • La storia della Arcana Famiglia 1 (will be called Arcana Famiglia from now on)

Starting with last season’s unended Hyouka.
Mayaka points out that the story was inconsistent with some clues, but even so Houtarou tries to defend himself against it. Satoshi tells him about it as well, how the movie wasn’t what Hongou (the original script writer) wanted. Houtarou once again tries to defend himself, but Satoshi refuses to accept it. Chitanda was the only one that fully convinced Houtarou that something was wrong.
What was solved this episode wasn’t the mystery itself, but WHY the story wasn’t written by Hongou till the end. Houtarou ends up feeling depressed because he has failed to live up to the expectations by Mayaka, Satoshi and Chitanda. It is not known whether Houtarou eventually told Mayaka and Satoshi the truth behind the drama, but I hope they don’t stay mad at him.

Next: Saki Achiga-hen!
With Teru leading by such a huge gap, the only choice her competitors have is to slow her down and fight for second place. First round of the semi-finals is over and now its the second round!
Cliffhanger end similar to Saki. Also: NOOOOO TOKIIIII =<

Next: Tari Tari!
OP and ED are good. Another anime by P.A Works, the art is similar to Hanasaku Iroha. It tells the story of a girl who was made to flip pages for the pianist after a spectacular failure in the previous performance. When the club teacher-in-charge refuses to let her sing, she decides to quit the choir club and start her own club. With a minimum requirement of 5 members to start a club, she’s pulling out all her tricks to do it.
Walk into younger brother while he’s bathing, threaten him to join your club or else. Seems legit. The characters are decent, I’m still not very interested in this show for now, but I’m gonna keep watching because Another and Hanasaku Iroha were good. Unless another spectacular fail happens, I’m probably gonna watch this through.

Next: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
OP sounds like its sung by nano.Ripe, ED is weirdly haunting. I have no idea what’s going on aside from the following: The human population is running out of food.
They have video cameras but no food. Fairies have high technology that produces food but they taste horrible compared to actual real food. I’ll give it another episode before I decide to drop it. The art isn’t very appealing to me either, it looks very abstract.

Lastly: Arcana Famiglia
This looks like a shoujo-action series to me. A lone girl in a mostly-guys association that carries out vigilante activities in a town which is their turf. Its like Mafia, but good mafia. Among the ‘family’ members of the Arcana Famiglia, there are those who have made a contract with a guy using a tarot card. Their Arcana power depends on the card they used, for example: Pace has a contract with the card La Forza, the Strength. Thus, his power is to have immense, unhindered strength. I look forward to the explanation of the rest of the Arcanas’ powers.
O yea, apparently they’re having a competition to see who gets to be the next mafia boss. Winner gets to marry the boss’s daughter who is also an Arcana herself. This one is by J.C Staff, so we’ll probably see good action scenes but bad storytelling. Unlike the previous few that J.C Staff has taken up, this one isn’t a LN. Its an adventure game for PSP. Let’s see how it goes, I might watch this purely for the powers involved alone.

Section 2: Day 34 of 30 day challenge

Day 34 is ‘favourite anime character you’ve cosplayed.’

I have not cosplayed before and will probably never cosplay, so I won’t be able to do this challenge.
