Anniversary

So it wordpress has notified me that I have been blogging for exactly 1 year now. Happy anniversary to my blog! Yaaaayyyy!! Also, a new chart for Spring 2013 is out! More details and the chart itself in Section 2!

Section 1: Episodes watched today

  • Magi 17
  • Maoyuu 5
  • Puchimas 26
  • Little Reimu

Starting off with Magi!
Hmmm.. Good end to the arc, but new enemies, in fact, A LOT of new enemies appear. But from what Sinbad has shown, it looks like he’s more than enough to handle them.
Next arc, we move over to Sinbad’s city! Hopefully we get to see more of him in action as well. I also just realised that someone else aside from Sinbad has successfully accomplished full-body djinn-equip: that princess during the Aladdin and the nomads arc.

Next: Maoyuu!
Oooohh this stuff is so good. Not only does it deal with economics and politics, it also deals with social interactions and societal problems.
But of course, the harem-factor is still there, although it’s not focused on. Hero’s gotta have swag y’know?
But even so, he still honors his agreement with the Demon Lord. He is hers and she is his. This respect and faithfulness is what I like about the Hero. He’s a good example of a man, although a little dense. I mean, LOOK AT THAT TERM AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT, IT’S OBVIOUSLY A FRIGGIN’ MARRIAGE TO THE DEMON LORD!
Cool armor + cool lines. You’ve got her heart man, you’ve got it.

Lastly: Puchimas
IT’S OKAY IF IT’S CUTE!

Okay this isn’t really a watched today, but I watched Little Reimu yesterday while downloading a new game (a free-to-play MMORPG). So here’s a rough idea of what it’s like: It’s 1 hour 48 minutes long, and it’s worth every single minute that is in the video. To be honest though, this isn’t exactly an anime per se, because there’s no animation. It’s more like a slideshow at a decent speed where it’s not too long or too short to read the text. It’s a doujin about Reimu when she was young, or as the show puts it: This is a story about Reimu when she was small and the man-eating youkai when she was big.
The art is typical doujin-type art, not very professional, but good enough to be enjoyed and not hated. The storyline is the main attraction. It starts off light-hearted but later goes into deep emotional themes with very good character developments, for the main 2 at least. I strongly recommend you to watch it. It’s probably available at [Mazui]’s page where they uploaded the torrent for Little Reimu. If this was a real anime-movie, it’d be my all-time favourite, even more so than Disappearance of Haruhi.

Section 2: Spring 2013 Chart

Chart first, discuss later.

As you can see, it’s only a v.03, which means that nothing is really set in stone yet, but there are high chances of these appearing based on their announcement dates and what not. This will also be in the Latest Anime Chart tab, so if you’re looking for it, just click the tab at the header.

Looking forward to:

  • OreImo S2
  • Yuyushiki
  • Hayate no Gotoku S2 (sequel to Can’t take my eyes off you)
  • Shingeki no Kyojin (Strongly recommended by people at my forum)
  • Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (Because Kantoku in charge of character design. THE KANTOKU)
  • Railgun S
  • Girls und Panzer (Apparently they’re gonna delay it all the way till then)

Avoiding PhotoKano because I read the manga for one chapter and it didn’t hook me. I’m still patiently awaiting the day that Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa gets animated. I wonder if it even will, considering that it’s finished with a short chapter count of 27. It’s enough to fill up 12 or 13 episodes if they animate it with some elaboration and character-development fillers.

Also: I’m entering the army pretty soon (in about 6~9 months max), so I probably won’t be able to post as often, let alone watch so many anime.
