I have finished Prototype2. Thoughts in section 2. Meanwhile, I’m still patiently waiting for the day I get my own debit card, then I can start getting games off Steam legally. Prototype2 was a little… disappointing I guess.
Section 1: Episodes watched today
- OreImo 5
- Ore no Seishun 5
Starting off with OreImo because I heard there was lots of Kuroneko screentime =DO gawd this show is embarassing to watch. It’s awkward on an entirely new level. Not as high as those situations in KoreZombie though.
Damn, Kuroneko in the white sundress is seriously mega cute. SO CUTE!
Next: Yahari blah blah
Srsly, good show and all, but a pain in the ass to refer to. Also: MC is quite drama. He’s like those kind of girls who build walls around her feelings because she’s had trauma, except he’s a guy.
The best scene in this episode only lasted 5 seconds or less. But the ED as sung by Yui in ballad was incredibly awesome. Now I want to know what Yukinoshita’s version will be like.
Section 2: Prototype2 “review” of sorts
I finished Prototype2 today afternoon, it was.. very short as compared to Prototype 1. The story was interesting in the first part, but after that it just appeared to be incredibly rushed. Granted that there are side missions for you to take on that also have their own stories, I’m more interested in the main story, and thus I rushed the main storylines from start to finish, only stopping once in a while to test some new abilities in the side quests. Devastators can now be used whatever your hp level maybe, that’s something that’s a little… hmm.. Well, it’s not good. Usually you’d be able to access these when you’re in prime condition or you get your adrenaline rush before you might die. Having it always available is just too easy. Although, you must recharge the bar after using a devastator, just a few consumes is more than enough. Prototype1 is a lot more challenging, especially the boss fight. Prototype2’s controls were so screwed up that I always mess up the buttons to dodge when fighting, it’s just a too-sudden switch from shift to spacebar. Unlocking powers is normal and all, but when one mission takes so damn long, and you have to complete multiple missions just to unlock one stupid upgrade, it’s just not worth my effort.
Final boss was disappointing. It wasn’t even half as difficult as fighting Elizabeth Greene was on Prototype1. Also: Alex Mercer just randomly became bad all of a sudden. Like, no explanation no anything. He just became bad. No hopes for a Prototype 3, seeing how Prototype 2 ended, but really though, if a Prototype 3 still came out, they’d just be milking the franchise for all it’s worth. And that’s not much after Prototype 2.
