Making music for a living

It’s many people’s real life dreams to be idols that sing and dance, or to be a rock star living the dream. For me? Living off music simply means that I can sustain my basic needs by making music. And it so happens that the economy in Archeage allows for that (somewhat). Most pieces can be found on Archeage MML Library, but the pieces I craft are edited version of longer songs, I do not do the “Import MIDI, remove excess tracks, export as MML” thing, that one isn’t efficient enough to reduce the number of characters in the music piece. Took a while to get used to, but I’m pretty okay with the 3MLE now, I still can’t compose, but I sure as well can edit. Good thing I took basic piano lessons in primary school.

WARNING: Lengthy post below, lots of pictures.

Section 1: Episodes watched today

  • Grisaia no Kajitsu 1 (Henceforth known as Grisaia)
  • Amagi Brilliant Park 1 – 2
  • Log Horizon S2 2
  • Madan no Ou to Vanadis 2

Started off with Grisaia no Kajitsu
Very interesting premise, a prison-like school with only 6 students, all of which are foreshadowed to have deadly hobbies, as well as haunting pasts. (Well, mostly just Amane)
Kazami ripped and manly, dem battle scars be rockin’. I wonder why he got sent here though, it was mentioned he was a ‘dog’ for the Defense Organization though, so maybe he’s a secret spy or something?
Main character has quite the balls to mess with the blond-twintail-tsundere-sama, it’s quite refreshing to see that MC knows a tsundere when he comes across one and is not afraid to push her buttons. She’s also quite hilarious. The detective element is strong, MC is by no means weak or stupid, this might be an enjoyable show after all! I heard it was from a VN, so I hesitated because I was afraid harem-romcoms, but this one doesn’t seem like one from first episode. Will track. Also: Kazami badassssss

Next: Amagi Brilliant Park
Here, we have the KyoAni of the season. And KyoAni being KyoAni, goes for what works for them, and what works for them is slice of life with great comedy and weird characters with gap moe appeal.
OP is catchy, ED is normal.
I like the MC already!
And the KyoAni jokes are awesome!
THEY KNOW THE CLICHES AND ARE PLAYING IT OPENLY AS THEIR CARDS!
And sarcasm is always a very good plus! I love sarcastic humor.
Also, it seems this season has a lot of slow-reaction screams, a contrast to the typical “walk-in-on-girl” scenario.
Sento Isuzu, I don’t really mind her character-type, after all, the anime is focused on Seiya’s reformation of the park. It’s only just begun, but I can feel all the comedy that are just waiting to happen.

Next: Log Horizon
I love the faces in this series, really, Shiroe makes the best mocking faces.
“Umadbrah”
But then again, he really mad. They can’t be successful in the raid this early in the show, it removes all the foreshadowing that episode 1 had. If you’ve been watching this from episode 1, SPOILER ALERT: The raid fails =O

Lastly: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
This show didn’t start out that well, the premise is.. well.. has been done before, and let’s just say they weren’t very well done.
From what it looks like, the MC isn’t a pushover at all. He didn’t seem all that strong in the first episode, but daaaaamnnn that reflex + counter shot.
And his quest just gave him his end-game gear! Time for ultimate dps!
